Applications are invited from highly motivated and enthusiastic researchers with a PhD degree and a strong record track (evidence of one or more high impact publications in a relevant field). Training in international leading laboratories is a merit.

Requirements include a Ph.D. within the fields of Immunology, Hematology, Cell Biology, or Molecular Biology received maximum seven years before the application deadline. Postgraduates who have yet to graduate may apply if their public defense is scheduled to take place within three months after the application deadline, in which case verification from the Dissertation Committee, or equivalent body, must be submitted in the application.

The applicant is expected to have extensive training in hematopoiesis, immunology, cell biology and molecular biology. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organizational skills to plan experimental bench-work and the ability to work as a part of the team as well as independently when required.

Previous experience in experimental application of advanced flow cytometry and cellular and molecular biology techniques to study hematopoiesis is required. Expertise in gene knockdown and human hematopoiesis, as well as in working with animal models is desired. Ability to stay on the top of the relevant research field is an absolute requirement.

Good knowledge of spoken and written English is required.

The applicant should not have been employed by Lund University within the last two years in order to be able to receive a scholarship. PhD degree should not be more than three years old at the last day of applying,

6. Names and contact details of three references who are familiar with the applicants recent research and training
