GROUP LEADER POSITIONS IN BIOLOGY AND BIOINFORMATICS AT COLLEGE DE FRANCE
College de France is recruiting new group leaders for its Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Biology (CIRB). CIRB is presently composed of 18 teams working in various aspects of Life sciences including infectious diseases, neurosciences, cardio-vascular research, cell biology, cancer research, development and mathematical modelling. CIRB is seeking to recruit one group in Bioinformatics and one to three groups working in Biology without any domain of predilection.
Although senior applications will be considered, preference will be given to junior group leaders. The position will be offered for 4 years allowing one renewal and the possibility to access a senior status. Unless already funded, selected group leaders will be asked to apply to one of the several French programs for young independent investigators. Applicants are thus encouraged to write their application in the ATIP-AVENIR format.
CIRB is benefitting from the vicinity of an extraordinary rich intellectual milieu, with conferences covering all aspects of knowledge. Outside Collège de France, CIRB has developed strong interactions with prestigious neighbouring institutions, in particular the Ecole normale supérieure and the Curie Institute. Furthermore, the CIRB is part of the Initiative of excellence Paris Sciences et Lettres Foundation.
