Postdoctoral Fellow in Vascular Cell Signaling
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. A. Wayne Orr in the Department of Pathology and Translational Pathobiology at the LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. The fellow will join an R01 funded project studying the signaling mechanisms underlying endothelial cell activation and atherosclerotic plaque formation. The position will involve both the cellular and molecular analysis of endothelial signaling responses and the examination of endothelial signaling in animal models of cardiovascular disease. Candidates with a background in vascular biology or cell signaling are particularly encouraged to apply.
In association with the LSU Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences (CCDS), the fellow will be exposed to extensive training and networking opportunities in vascular biology, career development workshops through the local Post-Doctoral Association, and opportunities for intramural fellowships through the CCDS. English competency is required. Please send a C.V. and names of three references to: A. Wayne Orr, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Pathology, LSUHSC-Shreveport, Shreveport, LA 71130.
