Stem Cell Faculty
The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine (Chicago) is seeking candidates for Associate Professor or Professor appointment in the field of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine. The successful candidate will be charged with developing a successful interdisciplinary research program in the field of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Candidates should have current NIH funding and have demonstrated leadership in regenerative biology or regenerative medicine. All candidates should have a PhD and/or MD degree, well as an outstanding publication record in one or more of these areas: 1) biology of adult or pluripotent stem cells 2) signaling mechanisms underlying differentiation, self-renewal or regeneration; 3) genome editing approaches in stem cells or tissue repair; 4) reprogramming or lineage conversion to enhance regeneration or 5) genetic lineage tracing and regulation of endogenous stem cells. The department has strong research and training programs (http://mcph.uic.edu/home) and consistently ranks among the top 10 nationally. A highly competitive startup package will be offered.
