Principle investigators and Postdocs/Research fellows in genomic bioinformatics
We are seeking applicants for Genomic Bioinformaticians position (Principle investigator and Postdocs) at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Southwest Hospital, Third Military Medical University (TMMU), Chongqing, China. The post will suit an ambitious and talented genetics statisticians or bioinformaticians, who are interested in applying their skills in the genetics/genomics field for human infectious diseases, liver diseases or liver cancer.
The successful candidate will be involved in next-generation sequencing data analysis (e.g. whole genome sequencing, targetted sequencing, RNA-seq, single-cell sequencing, ctDNA sequencing, bioinformatics analysis) of human infectious diseases, liver diseases and liver cancer. The aims of these works are to translate these findings into clinical practice. The selected candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team of hepatologists, virologists, and immunologists at TMMU.
A relevant PhD experience is required. Relevant areas of research include statistics, genomic data mining, computer science or mathematics. You will have prior experience of designing and implementing computationally intensive statistical approaches, together with experience in working with low-level computing languages (e.g. C++, Perl, Phyton, R, high-performance computing on Linux).
