A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is available immediately at the University of Toronto in the field of Cancer Epigenetics and Structural Biology. We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated fellow with a recent PhD (within last 3 years) in Structural Biology or Biochemistry, with a proven track record in chromatin biology, protein biochemistry,  ITC, SPR and Fluorescence Polarization assays.

Project Description: The involved fellow will be part of a multi-disciplinary team investigating mechanisms that lead to aberrant epigenetic reprogramming of breast cancer stem cell and tumor metabolic networks.  He/she will be responsible for developing high throughput biophysical, biochemical  and functional cell-based assays to characterize epigenetic related proteins and develop SAR approaches to modulate chromatin pathways.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work in an innovative research environment at the MaRS Center and collaborate closely with experts in the OICR drug discovery group , and have  access  to genome editing,  mass spectrometry, Chiq-Seq, next generation sequencing, , medical chemistry,  compound collections and  chemoinformatics platforms. 

Qualifications: The successful applicant will have proven research track record in structural biology and biophysics, including publications in top tier peer-reviewed journals. Candidates will have the ability to work independently and within a collaborative research team, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Applicants must be living in Canada or the USA in order to be eligible.
