Tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor
at the Center for Integrative Genomics
We seek candidates with post-doctoral experience who have demonstrated excellence in conducting research and have an interest in teaching.
The successful candidate will be expected to :
- establish a world-class independent and innovative research program that will attract extramural funding,
- participate in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The rank of the position - which comes with competitive starting packages and running budget - will be determined according to the level of the selected candidate.
The Center for Integrative Genomics (CIG) (http://www.unil.ch/cig/home.html) is a highly interactive research center of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne, comprising both research groups and state-of-the-art core facilities. It is located on the Dorigny campus overlooking Lake Geneva.
Areas of particular interest for this position include but are not limited to molecular evolution, population genetics, human genetics and computational biology.
Note that a second position with focus on the structure and function of genomes and their evolution, signal transduction, the regulation of gene expression and cell proliferation, and the genomics of complex process such as development, physiology, and behavior is currently open at the CIG. http://www.unil.ch/fbm/home/menuinst/la-releve-academique/mises-au-concours.html.
