UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, one of the world's leading academic medical centers, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Scientist in our mass spectrometry core facility who will also help with the core's daily operations. This position entails both routine operation and maintenance of core instruments, as well as participation in experimental design and collaborative projects.
The ideal candidate for our Sr. Research Scientist will have experience operating and trouble shooting micro and nano HPLC instruments, micro and nano electrospray sources and mass spectrometers (ion trap, time-of-flight, QQQ). Prefer experience with protein and peptide sample preparation, as well as computational and statistical analysis of large data sets. This position requires an individual with creativity, lateral-thinking, good communication skills and the willingness and ability to work as part of a larger, multidisciplinary team of scientists.
