Universities Research Association (URA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation consisting of over 90 premier research oriented universities.  URA shares responsibility with the University of Chicago for the management of the Fermi National Laboratory through the Fermi Research Alliance, LLC (FRA) and is a member of the Honeywell-led team, National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia (NTESS) team in the new management contract of the Sandia National Laboratories (SNL or Sandia).  URA also receives funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for US participation in the operation of the 19-member Pierre Auger Cosmic Ray Observatory in Argentina.
