China Pharmaceutical University (CPU) in Nanjing, China, specializes in the study of pharmaceutical sciences. It is one of the “Project 211” key universities affiliated to the Chinese Ministry of Education and one of the “Double First-Class” universities in China, with its disciplines of pharmacy and traditional Chinese pharmacy being one of the best in the country. As the host institution of Chinese Government Scholarship students, CPU was one of the earliest institutions authorized by the Ministry of Education to admit full-time pharmacy students (since the 1950s) and visiting scholars from overseas. The 383-acre two campuses are now home to 13,000 undergraduates, around 4,000 postgraduates and PhD candidates as well as over 1,000 faculty and staff.

CPU seeks to push the sustainable advance of pharmaceutical sciences, with the intent of actively expanding related areas including chemotherapeutic drugs, traditional Chinese medicines and biodrugs.
