Post-Doctoral Fellowship positions are open in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Lieberman at the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia. Research in the Lieberman laboratory centers on understanding how the cancer-associated viruses persist in a latent state and increase the risk of cancer and autoimmune disorders. The lab focuses on two human tumor viruses, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and Kaposi’s Sarcoma Associated Herpesvirus (KSHV), how they persist in a latent state and drive carcinogenesis or autoimmunity (https://wistar.org/our-scientists/paul-lieberman).

Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) degree or should be close to obtaining their doctoral degree. Highly motivated candidates with experience in virology, molecular biology, cell biology, or functional genomics are encouraged to apply.
