The Clinical Design Delivery & Analytics (CDDA), a division of Lilly Research Laboratories, partners with Medical colleagues in Research, Oncology, Biomedicines, and Diabetes to effectively and efficiently design, plan, and execute clinical trials across all phases of research. Uniting experts in clinical development and design, laboratory and data sciences, site engagement, and trial capabilities, the CDDA focuses on participants, patients, and investigators to deliver novel designs and innovative research approaches. The purpose of the Design Hub Analytics Consultant role is to support the design of clinical programs and trials by bringing together internal and external data sources, analyses and insights to develop and inform multiple scenarios, driving excellence in clinical trial design, enabling more efficient planning and execution. The Design Hub Analytics Consultant is responsible for building and supporting relationships with internal and external business partners.

Lead the delivery of information, data analyses and insights supporting clinical program design, country and site allocation, and enrollment forecasting
  • Develop clinical trial strategy, clinical design questions and regional requirements to research available datasources/tools to provide data and analyses supporting trial design scenarios, feasibility and site identification. Data should inform teams around optimization of time, value, cost and/or risk in their designs and allocations.
  • Research data capabilities and technologies that will assist in expanding informatics capabilities and/or automation/efficiency.
  • Identify and use other internal knowledge/informatics experts (e.g., finance, market research)
Provide Strategic and Technical Leadership
  • Advise leadership on emerging datasources or technologies
  • Evaluate evolving business partner needs that could be addressed with automation or additional analytic resources
  • Identify and implement utilization of templates or tools, enabling consistency and end-user ease of use and interpretation
  • Provide business user requirements/support for existing or new technologies and datasources support the informatics team
Responsible for Informatics and Data Elements
  • Support work for standard of care modeling, seek to identify new data sources and provide solutions to research and business data requests
  • Maintain data sources to support the implementation of new technologies
  • Ensure completion of modeling requests by applying clinical development, TA and modeling expertise
  • Build and maintain TA archetypes and overall country performances summaries

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in a scientific or health related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Post-graduate degree(s), e.g., Pharm D, M.S.
  • Experience in clinical research or clinical trial planning, design and operations preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with implementation of solutions
  • Analytical ability to use complex software systems/review data
  • Demonstrated experience in navigating ambiguity
  • Critical thinking, learning agility, and strategic reasoning also seen as beneficial
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
