The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, celebrating its 28th year as a leading center for cancer research, is recruiting outstanding faculty at the Research Instructor level to join established programs within the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.

We are currently recruiting for full-time Research Instructors in the non-tenure stream to carry out cutting-edge cancer research. Research projects will include biochemical pharmacology, signal transduction, drug resistance and cancer molecular biology. The successful candidates should have a PhD and/or MD in one of these or related fields and relevant laboratory experiences.  Successful candidates will have an exceptional scientific research record and will join University of Pittsburgh departments based on prior training and experience. A competitive salary and benefits package will be provided.

Located in the city of Pittsburgh (routinely ranked as one of the top most livable and affordable U.S. cities), Hillman (previously known as the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute) is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with 344 members; 10 research programs in basic, translational, clinical, and population sciences; 13 shared resources that receive funding from our NCI Cancer Center Support Grant; and an FY17 institutional funding base of nearly $157 million. In FY16, the University of Pittsburgh ranked #5 in overall NIH funding. Hillman Cancer Center serves a catchment area of 29 Western Pennsylvania counties and provides unique opportunities to collaborate with clinical and translational research programs involved in cancer patient care.
