Postdoctoral Fellow: Quantitative Developmental Biology

 

Position Summary:

The Arora Lab (www.aroralab.com) in the Department of Obstetrics Gynecology and Reproductive Biology and the Institute for Quantitative Health Science and Engineering (https://iq.msu.edu/) at Michigan State University is seeking an enthusiastic and creative postdoctoral fellow to work on a project focusing on mechanisms underlying changes in the three-dimensional structure of the murine uterus and glands promoting embryo implantation. The lab uses classic developmental biology and implantation biology methods, mouse genetics, gene expression analysis and state-of-the art laser-scanning confocal microscopy complemented by 3D image analysis and computational modeling approaches.

Required Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Developmental Biology, Reproductive Physiology, Biomedical Engineering or Biomathematics from an accredited university with at least one first author publication.

  • Work well in a multidisciplinary research team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and perform mouse husbandry and animal surgery
  • An interest in approaching biological problems with a quantitative mindset
