Mobility fellowships for experienced researchers
co-funded by AIRC and the European Union
Interested in joining an international training research program on cancer? Have in mind a cancer-related research project? If so, the iCARE-2 post-doctoral fellowship program may be what you are looking for! The second international iCARE-2 call is now open (deadline June 5, 2019). Don't miss this opportunity!
What is iCARE-2?
iCARE-2 is an international fellowship program co-funded by Fondazione AIRC and the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Grant Agreement No 800924, intended to promote the mobility of experienced researchers to and from Italy.
iCARE-2 offers these types of 3-year fellowships:
- Outgoing Fellowships, for researchers who have worked in Italy for more than three years, interested in a research experience in a scientific institution located in a different country than Italy.
- Incoming Fellowships, for non-Italian scientists interested in a research experience in a scientific institution in Italy.
- Reintegration Fellowships, for Italian researchers who have worked in a country outside Italy for at least two out of the last three years, and who wish to return and work in a research center in Italy.
To be eligible, applicants must have either a doctoral degree, or at least four years of research experience after their undergraduate/master’s degree. The research plan must have a clear focus on cancer. Winners will be selected through a transparent and independent peer review process.
Benefits
Hosting institutions must agree to take on the fellow under a full employment contract, with adequate and equitable social security provisions, and must offer training activities in complementary skills. The package includes a travel allowance, a research/dissemination cost contribution to cover publication costs, and a training cost contribution to attend scientific meetings and transferable skills training events.
