The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Department seeks outstanding investigators employing a combination of biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics and animal models to investigate basic mechanisms contributing to human health and disease. Attention will be paid particularly to applicants whose areas of research emphasize mechanisms of cancer immunology and cancer metabolism, which complement and strengthen existing research areas within the Department and the wider School of Medicine.
Successful applicants are expected to develop a strong, extramurally-funded research program and to establish productive collaborations with members of the Department, Tulane University and the New Orleans research communities. Responsibilities will include supervising and mentoring students and postdoctoral fellows and contributing to the educational mission of the university.
Qualifications include a PhD and/or MD (or equivalent) with postdoctoral training.
