Tenure-track faculty position in Cancer Immunology

The University of Kentucky’s Markey Cancer Center and Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics are jointly seeking an exceptional candidate for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in cancer immunology at the assistant or associate professor level. Applicants should have a PhD and/or MD and post-doctoral research experience in an area of tumor immunology. A strong foundation in flow cytometry/cell sorting approaches is preferable which could also lead to a directorship of the Flow Cytometry & Immune Monitoring (FCIM) core facility. Applicants with proven records of research and publications in basic, clinical or translational cancer immunology are encouraged to apply. Current NIH funding in related areas of cancer immunology is highly desirable. Competitive start-up funds and faculty salary will be provided, commensurate with level of experience. A start date of July 1, 2019 is anticipated.

The Markey Cancer Center is an NCI-designated Cancer Center on the medical campus of the University of Kentucky. The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics is located at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, adjacent to the Markey Cancer Center. Members of the department are actively engaged in a variety of research areas, including cellular and molecular immunology, cancer biology, microbial pathogenesis, and cellular and molecular genetics.
