Available immediately for highly motivated recent PhDs and/or MDs with strong training in cell biology. Candidates with experience in primary mouse neuron culture or IPSC culture are particularly encouraged to apply.
The projects include (a) identifying novel regulators of neuronal lysosome formation and function; (b) elucidating mechanisms underlying neuronal lysosome dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease and (c) specific groups of Spastic Paraplegia. The studies will include use of a combination of CRISPR based editing in primary neurons and IPSC-derived neurons coupled with high resolution imaging and biochemistry techniques.
