The Department of Biological Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in biological sciences beginning June, 2019. The position is a minimum nine-month appointment and there are options available for summer teaching. The position is for three years and is renewable pending successful evaluations. Opportunities for promotion to senior lecturer will be available after five years.  Candidates who have the expertise to teach our 2000-level Human Anatomy and Physiology courses and our 4000-level histology course are especially encouraged to apply. Currently, Histology is taught as a distance course, and the successful candidate will be expected to run and update the course.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or a doctorate in a related discipline and demonstrable teaching experience. Desired qualifications include a strong record of exemplary teaching at the undergraduate level and possession of excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. The candidate selected for the position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointment is to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of appointment.
