Postdoctoral Fellow

Postdoctoral applicants are invited to apply for one of three positions to study base excision repair, as part of a NIH-funded Program Project. The overall goal of this Program Project is to characterize genetic variants of DNA repair enzymes using a combination of biochemistry, structural biology, and cell biological approaches (see e.g. Nucleic Acids Res. 2019 doi: 10.1093/nar/gky1315; Oncotarget 2017 8:85883; Nucleic Acids Res. 2017 45:2897; PLoS Genet. 2016 12: e1006208; 2013 Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. 110: 14314-9). The Postdoctoral Scientists will be mentored by Drs. Sylvie Doublié & David Pederson (U. of Vermont), and Joann Sweasy (Yale). Applicants must have demonstrated expertise in either cellular and molecular biology, structural biology, or biochemistry. The successful candidates must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively. Applicants must also have excellent English writing and presentation skills. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake an active program of research that leads to publications and presentations at national conferences and, where available, to seek extramural funding.

Email should include subject header “DNA repair postdoc”.
