Research Faculty Position

The Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is expanding our research faculty.  The Department is seeking an applicant with an established track record of sustained NEI/NIH funding, as a PI on one or more R01 research grants.  Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent, and are expected to maintain extramural funding that may be supplemented by a significant departmental endowment and research funds.  Ability and willingness to collaborate with other faculty members working on the pathobiology of retinal degeneration, (e.g., AMD), ocular surface diseases, corneal diseases, corneal cell biology, ocular immunology and inflammation, and ocular infectious disease is expected.  A joint appointment in a basic science department may be considered. This is a tenure-track appointment that will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
