Full Professorship Position for Neuroimmunology/Neuroinflammation
Center for Brain Research, Medical University of Vienna, Austria
The Medical University of Vienna, Austria, invites applications for the position of a Full Professor for Neuroimmunology at the Center of Brain Research. The Center of Brain Research is a multidisciplinary research institute structured into six divisions (Cognitive Neurobiology, Molecular Neuroscience, Neuroimmunology, Neurophysiology, Neuronal Cell Biology and Pathobiology of the Nervous System). The successful applicant will be head of the Division of Neuroimmunology. Medical Neuroscience and Immunology are key research priorities at the Medical University of Vienna.
Applicants are expected to hold a degree in a relevant discipline of life sciences or in Medicine, to have conducted seminal research in a field of neuroinflammation or neuroimmunology (e.g. glia or T cell biology, inflammatory processes, neuronal de- and regeneration, blood brain barrier), to have experience in directing an independent research group and in raising substantial third-party funds. Teaching experience in the field of neurobiology / neuroimmunology is mandatory.
