UC Health’s central office supports operational initiatives at individual campuses and development of system-wide initiatives, promoting collaboration among the university’s health professional schools and providing oversight on the business and financial activities of the clinical enterprise.

Across twelve hospitals, with more than 3,900 licensed beds, UC’s six health systems form a $12.2 billion enterprise providing broad access to specialized care that earns the highest national rankings. UC’s health sciences education system is country’s largest with more than 14,000 students across eighteen health professional schools on seven campuses. UC Health operates, in conjunction with the leadership on the campuses, five medical centers in Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco.
