Postdoctoral Research Position - Medicines for All Institute Fellow

 

Position Description:

The Medicines for All Institute (M4ALL) at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking Fellows to support the development and management of current and planned programs at the intersection of chemistry, pharmaceuticals manufacturing, and medicine value chain. M4ALL strives to be a global center of excellence to drive increased access to pharmaceuticals. By reducing the costs of treatments and securing the medicine supply chain, we improve health outcomes, reduce disease morbidity, and lower health costs.

The M4ALL Fellow candidate is requested to support the development and management of current and planned programs at the intersection of chemistry, pharmaceuticals manufacturing, and medicine value chain. Current and planned programs include development of chemical processes to reduce the cost of manufacture of critical medicines, drive pharmaceutical manufacturing innovation, and generate novel business models to sustain a secure and reliable supply of medicines to those who need them the most.

Candidates should have strong project management and technical writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex scientific ideas to broad audiences, digest basic and applied research across diverse and multidisciplinary areas, and demonstrate a willingness to execute with minimal supervision.

Excellent organization, communication, and coordination are required. Must be able to handle a wide variety of tasks, ranging from leading technical paper studies to general administrative actions. Candidate should hold a Ph.D. in a field relevant to the support of chemistry, process development, and pharmaceutical engineering.
