Postdoctoral Fellow in Vaccine Research
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to conduct vaccine-related researches in Dr. Xinyuan Chen lab in the Department of Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Rhode Island (Kingston, RI). The Chen lab is focusing on developing novel adjuvants and delivery technologies to improve vaccine delivery and efficacy. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to participate in the design and performance of various in vitro and in vivo assays to delineate adjuvant mechanisms and explore adjuvant potency and safety in animal models. Ideal candidates are expected to have obtained his/her Ph.D. degree in microbiology, immunology, virology, or related fields. Previous experience in working with small animals is a must. Preference will be given to candidates with strong background in immunology or vaccinology. Salary will be commensurate with experience and are based on NIH postdoctoral stipend levels.
