The Department of Biology at Abilene Christian University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position for Fall 2019. Primary responsibilities will be to teach Biology lecture and lab courses. Additional responsibilities will include conducting research with undergraduates, training undergraduate lab teaching assistants/tutors, and attending departmental meetings and serving on university committees.

Successful applicants must have a Ph. D. in biology or related field.  We are seeking a Physiologist and/or a Microbiologist.  Applicants from other biological disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply.  Applications should include (1) a letter of interest, (2) an essay that addresses a philosophy of teaching, integration of faith and learning, and your Christian journey, (3) three letters of recommendation with the recommender's contact information, (4) a current curriculum vitae or resume, and (5) transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work.

We have a tradition of undergraduate research in the department of Biology.  Therefore, the successful applicant will be encouraged to involve undergraduates in research.  There are opportunities to conduct funded research in new facilities and with new equipment.   The successful applicant will be part of a faculty that is very collaborative, collegial and professional with each other and our students.
