Postdoctoral Fellow
The Schuettpelz Lab at Washington University in St. Louis is looking for a postdoctoral fellow. Our lab studies the influence of inflammatory signals on both normal and pre-malignant hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). In particular, using both mouse models and human samples, we are looking at the role of toll-like receptor signaling in the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). Ultimately, we hope that an understanding of how inflammation and toll-like receptor signaling regulates HSCs will lead to the clinical application of specific agonists of antagonists to improve bone marrow function in patients with MDS and acute leukemias. Interested candidates should have a PhD.
