Visiting Assistant Professor
The Biology Department at Denison University invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position with emphasis in physiology to begin August 2019. We seek an energetic and dynamic teacher who can teach an introductory majors’ course that explores organismal biology and physiology across eukaryotic kingdoms (BIOL 220 Multicellular Life), an upper-level majors’ course in Comparative Physiology (BIOL 334), as well as possibly another upper-level or non-majors’ course, based on the candidate’s training and departmental needs. Teaching load for this position is two courses with laboratories each semester; all courses have enrollments of 24 or less. Demonstrated ability and motivation for excellence in undergraduate teaching is expected and a Ph.D. is preferred (ABD acceptable).
