Assistant Professor, Biochemistry

The University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco invites applications for a tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the fields of biochemistry and cell biology. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The position will be available July 1, 2019.

Teaching is the primary focus of our faculty.  We aspire to promote student learning in a humanistic environment, such that students are enthusiastic about providing scientifically-based, patient-centered care. The Biomedical Sciences department is responsible for providing a major portion of the foundational basic science curriculum within the dental school, including biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and pharmacology.  Scholarship and research are also deemed essential, and the School of Dentistry is committed to strengthening its research mission through the development of and support for collaborative research activities. Qualifications include a PhD and/or DDS or MD degree.
