We are seeking a Neuroscientist who uses cutting-edge molecular, cellular, genetic and/or biochemical approaches to understand brain development and neuroscience. The successful candidate will join a growing and thriving Department and will be expected to establish a vigorous extramurally funded research program, engage in collaborative research, as well as be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate student education. The approaches and model systems of the ideal candidate should complement the Department’s currently funded research programs in neurodevelopment, neuroendocrinology, neurodegeneration and behavioral neuroscience. In addition, they will have the opportunity to participate in the Brain Health Research Institute, a university-wide effort to foster interdisciplinary collaborations among Neuroscience researchers at Kent State University and beyond.

Qualifications include a PhD in Neuroscience or related field with post-doctoral experience and a strong history of recent publications in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates at the Associate Professor or Professor rank are expected to have a history of sustained extramural funding. Salary and startup funds are competitive and commensurate with academic qualifications and prior experience.
