Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas G. Boyer in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (San Antonio, Texas). These positions are open for highly motivated candidates to join a dynamic research team studying the molecular pathogenesis of uterine leiomyomas (uterine fibroids), with an emphasis on the genetic and epigenetic factors that drive myometrial stem cell transformation leading to uterine fibroid formation. We are also interested in the development of new pharmacological therapies for the treatment of uterine fibroids. These postdoctoral positions offer a unique opportunity to conduct research in a vibrant scientific environment.
Requirements include a Doctoral degree in the biological sciences or related scientific disciplines with relevant lab experience in molecular cell biology/biochemistry. A background in tumor biology, epigenetics, and/or stem cell biology is preferred but not essential. These positions are open and available immediately with a flexible start date. This position will not have a faculty title. Application packets will be accepted electronically (preferred) or in hard copy. Please submit a cover letter, CV, brief description of scientific accomplishments, and three reference letters to Dr. Thomas G. Boyer at boyer@uthscsa.edu.
