Post-Doctoral Positions in RNA and Cancer Biology at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Multiple Post-Doctoral positions are available in the well-funded, dynamic, young laboratory of Dr. Wayne Miles at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Candidates will develop integrative and quantitative projects to understand how cancer cells modulate their transcriptome and proteome and the role of the post-transcriptional regulatory network in controlling these changes. Our lab uses and develops quantitative technologies to investigate the how loss of tumor-suppressor gene function reprograms cells and the mechanisms that sustain the growth and survival of these cells. This analysis is then extended into primary head and neck or thyroid tumor samples and both murine and Drosophila model systems. In particular, we use Ribosome Profiling, Proteomics, RNA-seq, ChIP, CLIP, LINC-profiling and novel technologies to determine these effects. We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working and independent candidates to join our great team. Education/Experience Ph.D. degree in RNA biology, cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry is required. Molecular and cellular techniques are needed. Candidates need extensive experiences in the following areas: RNA biology, cancer research, RNA-protein capture technologies, bioinformatics, tissue culture, and proteomics.
