Postdoctoral Scholar, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

The department of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is currently accepting applications for entry- and senior-level postdoctoral/Scientist positions. The lab focuses on delineating the epigenetic pathways that regulate normal hematopoiesis and to further determine how regulatory networks are perturbed in anemia, leukemia, and solid tumors. Our current research focuses are: 1) Investigating the underlying molecular mechanisms by which 3D genome organization controls the hematopoietic transcription program and lineage differentiation, as well as how chromatin organization is perturbed in leukemia. 2) Delineating the role of long noncoding RNAs in hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis. We utilize a variety of approaches including biochemical, proteomic, genomic, genome editing, and mouse modeling to study these questions. Candidates should have obtained a PhD or an MD/PhD degree in the fields of Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Development, or Genetics. The candidate should have evidence of prior productive scientific work in the form of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Prior experience in the study of gene regulation, hematopoiesis, bioinformatics analysis, and/or use of mouse models is preferred. Interested candidates should email their Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter describing their background and research interests to Dr Suming Huang at shuang4@pennstatehealth.psu.edu and upload them to the link below.
