Funded by the Municipal Government of Shenzhen, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) was established in Pingshan District of Shenzhen. With the strong financial support and favorable policies from Shenzhen government, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) aims to be a high degree university of applied sciences and technologies. Mission

Education Mode

By learning from the dual system of Germany, SZTU will implement a modern apprenticeship system in teaching. Talent Cultivation

In terms of talents training, SZTU is exploring a new mode of “university education +enterprise internship+engineering projects”. In accordance with the principle of producing talents in applied sciences with market orientation, SZTU will push the cooperation between industries and universities to a new height; put more focus on the assessment of practical capability and undergo small-sized teaching; promote the integration among teaching, learning and practical training; recruit students from diversified sources. Specialty Setup

SZTU sets up specialties and courses according to the needs of industrial chain and innovative chain. To meet the demand of pillar industry , strategic emerging industry and future industry in Shenzhen, the newly issued Shenzhen Action on Made in China 2025 defines eleven strategic key areas for the advanced manufacturing industry of Shenzhen (Digitalized Network Equipment, New-type Display, Integrated Circuit, New-type Components and parts, Robots, Precision Manufacturing Equipment, New Material, New Energy Automobile, Aeronautics and Space, Marine Engineering Equipments, Gene Engineering equipment), based on this, SZTU has set up six colleges in the first period: Intelligent Manufacturing, Big Data and Internet, Urban Transportation and Logistics, New Materials and New Energies, Health Science and Environmental Engineering and Creative Design.

 

Position Summary

Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing

Z01: Full-time doctoral degree in Control Science and Engineering or Electronic Science and Technology or other relevant degrees and with undergraduate degree of Automatic Control or Electronics related. Have teaching experience of electronics related subjects in local and overseas universities for 3 years or above; Passion in teaching and have the capability to design and teach the new "Applied Technology" Undergraduate courses; Proficiency in written and spoken English; Having awards (title of outstanding teacher, compilation of textbook) related to teaching is preferred.

Z02: Full-time doctoral degree in Control Science and Engineering or related and with undergraduate degree of automatic control. Publish journal papers in top-tier international journals; Proficiency in written and spoken English; Having overseas training or working experience, or serving as the principal investigator of the engineering research projects is preferred.

Z03: Full-time doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering and with undergraduate degree of machinery related. Have teaching experience of Mechanical Manufacturing Equipment and Process, Machine Tool Design, Cutting Principle and related courses in local and overseas universities for 3 years or above; Passion in teaching and have the capability to design and teach the new "Applied Technology" Undergraduate courses; Proficiency in written and spoken English; Having awards (title of outstanding teacher, compilation of textbook) related to teaching is preferred.

Z04: Full-time master degree or above in Control Science or Electromechanical. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Fulfill in either of the following two conditions: 1) Full-time doctoral degree in Control Science or Electromechanical Discipline and have R&D experience of intelligent equipment or intelligent production system for 3 years or above; 2) Full-time master degree in Control Science or Electromechanical Discipline and have R&D experience of intelligent equipment or intelligent production system for 5 years or above (wherein, serve as the principal of R&D for 1 year or above).

Z05: Full-time master degree or above in Mechanical engineering. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Fulfill in either of the following two conditions: 1) Full-time doctoral degree in mechanical engineering and have R&D experience of robotic structural design, motion and dynamics for 3 years or above; 2) Full-time master degree in mechanical engineering and have R&D experience of robotic structural design, motion and dynamics for 5 years or above (wherein, serve as the principal of R&D for 1 year or above).

Z06: Full-time master degree or above in Control Science and Engineering. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Fulfill in either of the following two conditions: 1) Full-time doctoral degree in Control Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with R&D experience of robot motion control for 3 years or above; 2) Full-time master degree in Control Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with R&D experience of robot motion control for 5 years or above (wherein, serve as the principal of R&D for 1 year or above).

Z07: Full-time doctoral Degree in Optical engineering, physics. Have teaching experience of optics related subjects in local or overseas universities for 3 years or above; Passion in teaching and have the capability to design and teach the new "Applied Technology" Undergraduate courses; Proficiency in written and spoken English; Having awards (title of outstanding teacher, compilation of textbook) related to teaching is preferred.

Z08: Full-time doctoral Degree in Optical engineering, physics. Have teaching experience of Laser Principle and Technology and related courses in local or overseas universities for 3 years or above; Passion in teaching and have the capability to design and teach the new "Applied Technology" Undergraduate courses; Proficiency in written and spoken English; Having awards (title of outstanding teacher, compilation of textbook) related to teaching is preferred.

Z09: Full-time doctoral Degree in Optical Engineering. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Fulfill in either of the following two conditions: 1) Full-time doctoral degree in Optical Engineering; Have working experience in related industries for 3 years or above; 2) Full-time master degree in Optical Engineering; Have working experience in related industries for 5 years or above (wherein, serve as the principal of R&D for 1 year or above).

 

College of Big Data and Internet

D01: Full-time doctoral in Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Science and Technology, Information and Communication Engineering or Information Security; Having 3 years or above of teaching experience in colleges and universities; Those with 3 years or above of working experience in enterprises will be prioritized; Those with doctoral degree in overseas famous universities or having experience as college teacher or having post-doctor degree will be prioritized.

D02: Full-time doctoral in Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Science and Technology, Information and Communication Engineering or Information Security; Having overseas studying or working experience (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan); Having working experience in enterprises for 3 years or above.

D03: Full-time doctoral in Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Science and Technology, Information and Communication Engineering or Information Security; Having overseas studying experience (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan); Having strong motivation, working enthusiasm and satisfactory teamwork spirit.

D04: Full-time doctoral in Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Science and Technology, Information and Communication Engineering or Information Security; Be engaged in big data related research orientation; Having working experience in enterprises for over 2 years ; Those with experience of data center setup and maintenance will be prioritized.

 

College of Urban Transport and Logistics

Requirements for Employment:

1. Ph.D. or equivalent in Engineering (for UTL03 and UTL12 a Ph.D. in Business is also welcomed)

College of New Materials and New Energies

X01: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Have the ability and wish to design novel programs for undergraduates of applied technologies. Fluent in both oral and written English. A university teaching experience is preferred. A trial teaching course within the related subjects will be needed during the interview.

X02: Ph.D. in Electronic Information,Communication Engineering, Measurement or Control Technology and Instruments. Have great passion for teaching. Have the ability and wish to design novel programs for undergraduates of applied technologies. Fluent in both oral and written English. A university teaching experience is preferred. Two recommendation letters are required. A trial teaching course of circuit principle, electromagnetic compatibility or embedded system will be needed during the interview.

X03: Ph.D. in Electrical Automation or Control Technology and Instruments. Have great passion for teaching. Have the ability and wish to design novel programs for undergraduates of applied technologies. Fluent in both oral and written English. A university teaching experience is preferred. Two recommendation letters are required. A trial teaching course of design of intelligent lighting system and reliability design, principle and technology of laser will be needed during the interview.

X04: Ph.D. in Optic Engineering. Have great passion for teaching. Have the ability and wish to design novel programs for undergraduates of applied technologies. Fluent in both oral and written English. A university teaching experience is preferred. Two recommendation letters are required. A trial teaching course of design of optical design of LED lighting system will be needed during the interview.

X05: Ph.D. in Optic Engineering or Communication Engineering. Have great passion for teaching. Have the ability and wish to design novel programs for undergraduates of applied technologies. Fluent in both oral and written English. A university teaching experience is preferred. Two recommendation letters are required. A trial teaching course of optical communication technology,integrated photonics, optoelectronics,optical fiber communication devices and modules will be needed during the interview.

X06: PhD degree in Electrical, Physics, Materials Science with more than 2 years teaching or working experience at universities or enterprises in Solar Energy Photovoltaic Power, Energy Storage Materials and Systems, Solar Thermal System, Intelligent Microgrid, New Energy Building Application Engineering, Electrical Engineering etc.; Being passionate in teaching with good English communication skills; the restriction can be relaxed for excellent candidates. X07: Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Physics and Materials Science with more than 2 years teaching or working experience at universities or enterprises in Solar energy photovoltaic power、New energy systems、Intelligent microgrid、Electrical engineering etc.; Professional in new energy system design software;Being passionate in teaching with good English communication skills; the restriction can be relaxed for excellent candidates. JK02: Doctoral Degree in medical apparatus engineering. Having overseas doctoral degree or post-doctoral working experience is preferred. Have teaching experience of more than five years and passion in teaching. The teaching experience requirement can be lower for applicants who are famous professors in related fields and can lead the development of this discipline as academic leaders. Two recommendation letters and three representative works are required.

JK03: Doctoral Degree in Biomedical engineering (Biophysics, Bioinformatics-oriented majors).  Having overseas doctoral degree or post-doctoral working experience is preferred. Have teaching experience of more than five years and passion in teaching. The teaching experience requirement can be lower for applicants who are famous professors in related fields and can lead the development of this discipline as academic leaders. Two recommendation letters and three representative works are required.

 

College of Creative Design

CY01: Doctoral Degree in Environment Design (Environment Design, Architectural design and its theory, Landscape Design, Sight Design or Interior Design).  Having overseas doctoral degree is preferred.

CY02: Doctoral Degree in Industrial Design (Product Design, Jewelry Design or Interactive Design).  Having overseas doctoral degree is preferred.

CY03: Doctoral Degree in Digital Media Arts. Graduate from top universities with engineering background. Have a rich found knowledge in computer science. Having overseas doctoral degree is preferred.

CY04: Doctoral Degree in Fine Art (Chinese Painting, Sculpture arts, Arts and Crafts or Art theory). Graduated from the top art colleges. Having overseas doctoral degree is preferred.

 

Faculty of Arts and Sciences

English Language Teacher (Native speakers)
Applicants should be a native English speaker with higher degree in English or related subjects, at least Master's Degree or above. Prefer candidates with experiences of teaching English as a foreign language. The potential candidate will be responsible for teaching College English courses including speaking, listening and writing; as well as elective College English courses.

English Language Teacher (Chinese speakers)
Applicants should be a Chinese speaker with higher degree in English, at least at Doctoral level.
