A full-time postdoctoral position is available in the Paralkar Lab in the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Medicine, and the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute at the University of Pennsylvania to study ribosome biogenesis in leukemia.

Our laboratory combines cutting-edge molecular biology approaches with in vitro and in vivo models of hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis to dissect the role of ribosome biogenesis dysregulation in the development of leukemia. Experimental techniques will include: Mouse leukemia models, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, advanced multi-color flowcytometry, high-throughput sequencing approaches including RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, and a variety of molecular assays.

Candidates must have an MD, PhD or MD/PhD degree. Experience with characterizing mouse hematopoiesis or mouse models of leukemia is a must for all applicants. Please send a CV, a brief cover letter summarizing past research and career goals, and the names and contact information of three references to: vikram.paralkar@uphs.upenn.edu.
