Faculty position in Bioinformatics and Genomics at Simon Fraser University
The Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Department at Simon Fraser University invites applications for a tenure track position in the broad area of Bioinformatics and/or Genomics. We are searching for an individual of outstanding promise who will develop a high-profile externally funded research program involving any of the domains of life, including plants, animals and microbes. The successful candidate will complement groups studying diverse aspects of genomics, bioinformatics, genetics, cell biology and biochemistry. They will participate in the undergraduate and graduate teaching programs of the Department.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in the sciences, with a proven ability to conduct innovative research. The position is targeted at the rank of Assistant Professor and has a proposed start date of Sept. 1, 2019, subject to final budgetary approval.
