Neuroscience Faculty Position

Maryland Psychiatric Research Center

The Department of Psychiatry and the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center at the University of Maryland School of Medicine invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.  We seek an innovative basic neuroscientist who will develop and maintain a vigorous, independent research program in a translational setting focused on the neurobiology of mental illness.  Experimental approaches may range from molecular and structural neurobiology to systems neuroscience.  Candidates with an interest in neuroinflammation, stress and/or developmental insults leading to long-term clinical abnormalities are especially encouraged to apply.  A doctoral degree and relevant post-doctoral experience in neuroscience or a related field is required, and preference will be given to candidates with existing grant support.  Send curriculum vitae, a brief summary of current and future research interests, and the names of three references to:
