Two postdoctoral research positions are available in Theresa Lu's lab. One is to examine vascular-stromal regulation in skin and lymph nodes in the context of lupus models. The other is to examine vascular-stromal regulation in the dermis and dermal white adipose tissue in the context of scleroderma skin fibrosis. These projects follow on our recent Immunity and Journal of Clinical Investigation papers. The projects are basic to translational in nature. Our lab sits at the exciting intersection of immunology, vascular biology, mesenchymal stromal/stem cell biology, fibrosis, and rheumatology, and candidates should have experience in immunology and/or vascular biology. Postdoctoral fellows at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) are eligible to obtain a Cornell postdoctoral appointment. HSS is the Rheumatology and Orthopedic arm of Weill Cornell’s New York-Presbyterian Hospital and is ranked #2 in Rheumatology and #1 in Orthopedics in the US by World and News Report. HSS is directly adjacent to Cornell Medical School and part of an interactive scientific community that also includes MSKCC and Rockefeller. Interested applicants should email Dr. Lu directly at email@example.com with a cover letter, CV, and a list of references.
