The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position (tenure track or non-tenure track) at the instructor, assistant or associate professor level, to be based in the Department of Oral Biology. Responsibilities of the position will include pre-doctoral (dental) and graduate-level teaching, scholarly activity and service. Applicants must hold either M.D., D.D.S./D.M.D., Ph.D. in physiology or a related discipline, or a combination of these. Experience in teaching physiology is required.  Research focus in the area of oral malignant disease or bone biology is preferred, but applications from candidates working in other areas of molecular and cellular oral biology/pathology/physiology are welcome. Significant postdoctoral experience, a strong record of research accomplishment, and demonstrated potential to develop a vigorous, extramurally-funded, independent research program are expected. For candidates at the Associate Professor level, there should be evidence of ongoing extramural funding as a principal investigator. The candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in a culturally diverse environment is desirable.
