Bioinformatics Post-Doctoral Position

A post-doctoral position is available to analyze high-throughput sequencing data in the lab of Dr. Harris Perlman, Chief of Rheumatology at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.  The data will be generated as part of an ongoing study of macrophages/monocytes in pathology using genomics assays, such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and ATAC-seq.  The postdoc is expected to work with other lab members and collaborators in the design of experiments and interpretation of results.


Highly motivated individuals with a PhD or equivalent and demonstrated strong background in computer science.  Applicants should have significant experience with one or more programming language (ex. perl, python, Java, etc.) and statistical environment (ex. R or Matlab).  Applicants with practice in handling transcriptomic and epigenomic data are preferred.   Candidates should have a good command of the English language, should be available for an interview, and must be eligible to work in the US.
