The Senior Specialist sits within the Strategic Sourcing and Enterprise Services Center of Excellence team. The role reports to the Director of Travel, Meetings and Payments (TMP) Procurement and is responsible for TMP analytics / reporting, execution of category initiatives and direct support of category strategy execution and management in TMP's Procurement Center of Excellence. Specifically, this will involve the following:

- TMP Analytics and Reporting
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy of TMP Spend Analyser, Buyer Book of Business and Transactional Efficiency
- Overall support of category management, through execution of diverse category initiatives; spend analyses, strategy development, etc.
- Establishing and leading cross-functional teams of stakeholders through Sourcing Management as a structured process to develop and deliver procurement strategies that create real value for the organization.
- Delivery of results in savings and other departmental objectives, such as attaining supplier diversity targets and supplier rationalization.
- Stakeholder Management and Alignment – ensuring buy-in for initiatives, developing and supporting stakeholder initiatives, supporting profit planning process, facilitating achievement of business goals
- Execution of Supplier, Category and Contract Management processes to deliver best possible value and performance

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

- Data Analytics, Reporting and Actionable Insights – Use data analysis to gain critical insights that drive the development of sourcing strategies and continuous improvement activities. Actively participate in relevant industry events.
- Supplier Management – Liaise with Supplier Performance Management core team and TMP Lead to ensure TMP team meets / exceeds all supplier management expectations. Additionally, build relationships and manage key supplier performance against business requirements using proven processes to drive the realization of the full value of the key relationships
- Category Management – Support category management for subcategories and suppliers in the Travel, Meetings and Payments areas.
- Sourcing Management – Use Sourcing Management as a structured process creating and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strategy Creation – Work with cross-functional teams to create strategies, which both deliver quick wins and genuine innovative breakthroughs.
- Sourcing and Contracting – Personally lead sourcing initiatives including RFX, RFP, and negotiations and contracting to put in place the right suppliers.
- Strategy Implementation – Proactively manage all aspects of implementation including entry and exit of suppliers and the ensuing complex change management issues.
- Continuous Improvement – Ensure that supplier relationships are set up for future continuous improvement and to lead review processes, which ensure delivery of on-going improvement.
- Stakeholder Management and Business Sponsorship – Work in a way that positively engages the support of stakeholders using problem solving and proactive communication skills.
- Business Requirements – Have a keen insight and understanding of business requirements on a 1-3-5 year horizon.
- Results and Performance – The candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience, and be results-oriented.
- Project and Change Management – Strong project management skills and a proven ability to manage change both internally and externally through to successful completion.
- Diversity – Actively participate in achieving organization's supplier diversity goals.

Qualifications

Education:

- Required: Undergraduate Degree

Required:

- Minimum of three (3) or more years in strategic procurement or Analytical/Business Intelligence role
- Very strong analytical skills, reporting and data management skills
- Experience with various spend analytics tools
- Proven success in developing and executing sourcing strategies
- Strong communications and influencing skills
- Proven ability to collaborate with a wide variety of individuals, including senior management, stakeholders, team members, other departments and suppliers
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment

Preferred:

- Relevant expertise/experience in the Travel and Meetings field
- Relevant experience in analyzing data sets and developing reports in Travel, Meetings and Payments
- Experience in Business Intelligence back-end such as Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview, Domo, etc.
