Assistant Professor of Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis

 

Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Behavioral Sciences and Education invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Applied Behavior Analysis program effective August 2017. A Ph.D. in psychology, behavior analysis, special education, or related area, and certification as a behavior analyst are required. Preference will be given to candidates with research interests in behavioral medicine, instructional programming, or system supports and organizational behavior management; however, all research interests will be considered. Clinical or applied experience within the candidate’s scope of training is preferred. The successful candidate will maintain a strong and active research program, teach and advise in the graduate ABA program and undergraduate psychology program, and provide service. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate courses in basic principles of learning, supervision and management, ethics, behavioral pediatrics, behavioral development and learning, or behaviorism. Applied Behavior Analysis is one of three psychology MA programs within the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education. The course sequence and experience requirements maintain BACB approval. The College’s close proximity to the state capital provides easy access to Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York City. The College is located near the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, which facilitates collaborative research opportunities.
