Postdoc/ Research Scientist/ Technician – Cell Engineering/Cancer Therapy
The Laboratory of Targeted Therapeutics in the Department of Pharmaceutics at Rutgers University is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow, a Research Scientist and a Research Technician for a full-time appointment in Piscataway, New Jersey. The campus is located 30 minutes south of New York City. Applications ONLY from applicants who are currently in the United States will be accepted.
Project Description: We are looking for a highly motivated scientists to work on a translational research project funded by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). The research project is focused on the development of a cell-based targeted therapeutic system for image-guided gene therapy of cancer.
The candidate must have MS or PhD in one of the following disciplines: Cellular and Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or related field. The candidate must have experience with molecular cloning techniques, stable cell production and animal work (mice). Experiences with MRI and ultrasound imaging techniques as well as microbubbles and magnetic nanoparticles are a plus. Fluency in speaking and writing English is required. Candidate must have a desire to learn new techniques, write manuscripts/reports/protocols, train students and be able to work independently. The applicant must be able to multitask and interested in contributing to several other ongoing projects in the lab.
Salary: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
