Postdoctoral position in Protein Science in Emeryville, CA

The Zhai lab at NIBR is currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Protein Sciences Group in Emeryville, Research will combine rational- and selection-based protein engineering tools, together with structure solution methods when appropriate. The ultimate objective of this work will be to develop innovative technology platforms to target intracellular antigens with biological therapies.

Qualifications: PhD degree holders and students in the last year of completing the PhD degree are eligible to apply. Candidates have a strong background in protein engineering, preferably with experience leveraging library selection methods. Expertise in structural biology and protein chemistry is valued, and experience with antibodies is preferred but not essential. Qualified candidates should have a strong publication record from their graduate research. Enthusiasm for tackling complex problems, rigorous scientific logic, and strong technical skills in the lab are essential qualities.
